From Puzzles to New Insights
in Fundamental Physics
Campagna (SA), Italy
23-27 June 2025
... continuing a journey started with Giordano Bruno and Juan Caramuel...
The main objective of Campagna Conference on "From Puzzles to New Insights in Fundamental Physics" is to thoroughly inspect puzzles and open questions in fundamental physics and to share and gain new insights into our understanding of the physical world. Foundational and conceptual aspects will be discussed in depth, including a critical assessment of guiding principles and mathematical frameworks for building fundamental theories. The present and future status of experiments aimed at testing fundamental physics from macro to micro scales will be examined, including current tensions and challenges, ranging from astrophysical and cosmological probes for gravitational and particle physics to tabletop experiments for quantum gravity.
The Campagna Conference will also be a great opportunity to celebrate 100 years of Quantum Mechanics in the presence of Nobel laureates David Gross, Duncan Haldane, Gerard 't Hooft, Frank Wilczek.
The figure of Giordano Bruno, pioneer of the idea of cosmic pluralism, who lived in Campagna around 1572, will be celebrated in the presence of Nobel laureates Didier Queloz and Adam Riess.
More details on the conference and Campagna can be found in About.
